FREE Easy Voter Guide Summarizes Statewide Propositions for Special Election
The Easy Voter Guide Project has made available FREE nonpartisan guides to help voters understand the eight statewide propositions in the November 8, 2005 Special Election. The 8-page Easy Voter Guide is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean at www.easyvoter.org.
The Easy Voter Guide uses community reviewers to create its user-friendly language and layout. Then expert reviewers from the Legislative Analyst’s Office and Secretary of State’s Office provide assurance of accuracy. The popular guide is distributed by the League of Women Voters, elections offices, schools, community colleges and a wide variety of community-based organizations engaged in voter education. In Eureka, the Easy Voter Guide in English will be available in late September or early October at City Hall, 531 “K” Street in the City Clerk’s office on the second floor and at the water-billing counter on the first floor. Easy Voter Guides in other languages are available on-line.
The Easy Voter Guide Project is a collaboration of funding and resources of the California State Library, the California Secretary of State’s Office and the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund, with support from The James Irvine Foundation. The Easy Voter Guide has been produced for each statewide election since 1994.
