The Community Services Department encompasses the most basic functions of local government that contribute to the community's quality of life. Public health and safety needs are met by the Environmental Programs, Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment programs of the department. Recreation and Zoo programs provide the community with a variety of leisure time services which offer positive and constructive recreation and learning experiences. Community property assets are administered through the Property Management, Airport and Golf Course programs. The department's Harbor operation manages, maintains and develops the City's harbor, waterfront and wetlands in support of the local and regional economy.
