Waterfront Trail

The Eureka Waterfront Trail is still in its infancy with only four completed multi-use sections at this time. They include the Palco Marsh trail, the Old Town Boardwalk, the Halverson Park Trail, and the newly completed Target Trail on the Eureka Slough. One day all of these sections will become one Waterfront Trail and part of the California Coastal Trail. Read the overview of the recently completed Waterfront Trail & Promenade Recommendations document on our home page. You can also download the full document and view drawings, maps, and photos.

Each section of the Waterfront Trail provides a unique experience. The Palco Marsh portion of the trail provides wonderful views of the marsh and its inhabitants.
